Hello, World!

As I write this, the Prologue script has been completed, and I'm finishing the layout for Chapter One. Behind me, Jay is trying new things with Clip Studio Paint, and is mumbling appreciative (yet abstruse) comments like "Ahhhh, a combination of these two brushes, yes. . . "

He's been enjoying CSP's 3D models, which allow him to put bodies into whatever position he can think of, without having to do what he did during his Mists & Memory stint at illustration, which was to cobble together images from this stock photo and that one, into a collage he could use for a reference.

As for me, I start each comics page in Medibang, which I like better for dividing up the page into panels, and then transfer it into .PSD file standard, so that Clip Studio Paint can read it, then do the lettering and bubbling in CSP. Then I save it (and a copy of the script) in a folder so it's ready for Jay to sketch.

Ideally, as we go forward, once he finishes sketching, I'll take a few days to lay down the flat colors, and then he'll shade them and refine where the text bubbles are in relation to the characters.

Then they'll be ready for consumption! NOM NOM NOM!
